Please join me in thanking Joe Panko for taking over from David Walker as our acting President.   We also owe David a big thank you for the time he's given this group over the past couple of years.   We wish him well in his new job.  

Our next meeting will be July 6th which is as usual the first Monday of the month.   We are discussing however, whether future meetings would be better attended if they were on a different day or at a different time.   There is a discussion thread in the forums to provide your input and I've enabled a poll on this front page to make voting easy.  I imagine we will try to come to some sort of consensus at our meeting so that we can work with the college to find out what is feasible.   

Our last meeting covered the first part of the Java Certification exam and was actually more fun than I expected - it pointed out just how much we rely on instant feedback from our tools and provided topics to study more extensively.   We are working on selecting the next meetings topic and will update this post once it is final.
