Topic: "Database migrations using Flyway"

Relational databases have been the workhorse of the enterprise for 20 years, but the bigger the schema, the more complex the link between applications and their database. Auditing and traceability of schema objects is becoming increasingly important in the age of regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley. Software that uses these objects can be difficult to track. Creating and restoring the database from scratch can be costly as developers and administrators attempt to reverse-engineer foreign key relationships, creating and dropping objects in the right order. Database migration tools make this task easier, and there are multiple tools available on the Java platform, so that the database truly becomes part of your software.

Please be thinking about any topics you might want to hear or that you could present on.    Presenting does not require being an expert, but rather a willingness to do some research and gather resources together.   I look forward to seeing you all in this brand new year!
