Greetings and Happy New Year!

This month we are going to combine with the .NET group for our meeting.  The subject will be design patterns which cuts across language boundaries and is something every good developer should be familiar with.   I'm told their speaker will actually be using a Java based book for training the topic.   The meeting will be in the same place as usual at TCC but it will be the final Monday of the month instead of the first Monday.     I will confirm precise meeting date and time as the month progresses.    Also don't forget that February is our traditional election month so please plan to attend that meeting so we can try and get organized again and provide a useful service to the Java Community in Tulsa.

Please attend our next Tulsa Java Developers meeting on Monday January 25th, 2010!

Speaker: Sean Whitesell
Sean Whitesell is a Software Developer with QuikTrip Corporation and is the president of Tulsa Developers .NET user group. He has been playing with programming since 1987 when his first computer didn't even have a hard drive. He has created applications that range from billing, medical, financial, Crystal Reports, and even embedded C for a device that travels in pipelines.

Intro to Design Patterns

Sean will be covering an Introduction to Design Patterns and the Strategy design pattern. This is intended to be a kick-off session for other design pattern presentations occasionally through the year.

See you at our January meeting!

      Andrew Chandler
Director of Technology & Acting President Tulsa Java Developers Group.
